With a length of 72 meters plus, the Airbus A340-600 is the largest capacity member of the A340 family and the longest airframe in the Airbus family of commercial jets. They can seat 419 with outstanding space and comfort in a two class configuration. It also has a very large under cabin floor capacity for freight and cargo.

These aircraft have a range of nearly 8000 nautical miles. It is powered by 4 Rolls Royce Trent 500 engines producing 56000 pounds of their 60000 pounds thrust capability. Because of the 4 engine design, this aircraft can fly long ranges over water allowing more direct routes and reducing travel time and fuel consumption. 131 have been ordered and delivered. 130 are now in operation around the world.
